AN IMPRESSIVE 7-BORE PERCUSSION LIVE PIGEON GUN UNSIGNED CIRCA 1860, no visible serial number, with 31ins. Damascus twist browned barrel, acanthus scroll engraving to the fixed breech and nipple bolster, the lock with three panels of acanthus scroll engraving and border decoration, the dogs head cock engraved to match, walnut half-stock with chequered wrist and forend, iron butt-plate with some engraved decoration to tang and around screws, scroll trigger-guard engraved to match, dark horn nose-cap, the underside of the butt with a vacant white metal escutcheon, the barrel professionaly rebrowned, some wear to chequering commensurate with use, small chip and crack to stock above top left of lock.
